Meet Our Counselors

Gr. 6: Ms. Santiago

Picture of Mrs. Mahealani Santiago in her office. She is smiling at the camera.

I have had the delight to work with students, families and teachers as a school counselor for 10 years. Over the past 3 years I had the opportunity to learn and grow with the Kawananakoa Alii Warrior Ohana.

Gr. 7: Mr. Connie

Model of conflict resolution, one of Mr. Keith Connie's tools as a counselor.

I have been a school counselor for 20 years. For the past 17 years I have been at Kawananakoa Middle School. I enjoy working with this age group as social and emotional support is a crucial part of their learning. I frequently do individual and group sessions. Anti bullying, conflict resolution, and mediation are a big part of my job. I love working with these students and will always make time for them. If you have any questions about what I do please contact me at school.

Gr. 8: Mr. Fuchigami

Mr. Jared Fuchigami's favorite quote. "The best way to predict the future is to create it."

I have been a school counselor for 16 years at Kawananakoa Middle School. I'm looking forward to working with you and your child this school year.  Please contact me if you have any questions or concerns.
