Three STEM Students Invited to Participate in Broadcom MASTERS

After participating in the Honolulu District Science and Engineering Fair, STEM students Rychelle Almarez (Grade 8), Ryder Kondo (Grade 7), and Drew Nakasato (Grade 7) were nominated to compete in the 2021 Broadcom MASTERS, the nation's premiere middle school STEM competition.

Congratulations to you both! We are proud to have our students represent Kawananakoa on the national level.

Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest 1st Place Winner

January 21, 2021

Student Charlotte Jian (Grade 7) placed 1st in the Patriot’s Pen Essay Contest. Charlotte, her parents, and her English teacher Mr. Zalopany were present as she accepted her awards. The awards included a certificate of accomplishment, a medal, and a perpetual plaque that is on display in our front office for the rest of the school year.

Mahalo to the representatives from the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1540 for visiting our campus and bestowing this honor upon us. Congratulations, Charlotte!
